QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 5 years post apprentice trade relevant work experience

• Previous experience in the mining industry

• Automotive Trade qualification such as Certificate III in Automotive mechanical or equivalent certificate.

• Ability to lift 25kg from floor to waist height

• Ability to lift 20kg from waist height to overhead

• Current drivers’ licence 

• Senior First Aid (desirable) 

• High risk licence (desirable)

• English reading, writing and speaking ability 

• 5 years of full-time English study OR a passing IELTS/PTE score

• COE and complete two (2) payment evidences (payslips OR bank statements OR government contributions)

• Open pit mine at Paddington Operations – mobile plant 

• Diagnose faults and breakdowns across the Heavy Mining Equipment fleet and LV fleet as required. Experience on Caterpillar trucks and Hitachi diggers preferred.

• Regular inspections of work area to identify hazards, damage and defects

• Complete planned maintenance and servicing tasks.

• Undertaking repairs of LV fleet, where required. 

• Regular inspections of tools and equipment, ensuring good working order
